The Homer C. Godfrey Company is a family-owned masonry supply business with top level technical expertise and customer service, founded in1923. Homer C. Godfrey, the company’s first owner and namesake, was originally located near the current Bridgeport DMV. In the late 60’s, the company relocated to a larger yard on Central Avenue to accommodate growth.
Today, the company thrives under the leadership of the third and fourth generations of the Godfrey/MacDonald family and proudly holds WBE/MBE status.
While we are well known as a walk-in destination for our retail services by homeowners, masons and developers, many people don’t know that we do an immense amount of architectural (high-end residential, commercial and streetscape) support/sales. We work with various stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a project, from feasibility studies and pre-design budgeting through the bid and construction process; ensuring that the materials selected whether for aesthetics or budgetary reasons are priced and delivered on site when a project needs.
We assist with brick pavers, concrete pavers, (thin) stone, limestone, architectural pre-cast, fireplace materials, outdoor living components, steel metal cladding and roofing (new) and most notably, brick.
